Tarang
A feed that ends.
Tarang is built on the idea that a feed should end. The server composes it into sets of twelve, and at the end of a set you get a card and a choice rather than more posts; stay a long time and the app says so and offers you the door. Appreciation has its own words — you Wave at a post and Talk under it, in threads. A story lasts a day and takes one of six named feelings, and who felt what is seen only by its author. Activity arrives twice a day rather than continuously. There are no badges and no red dots anywhere.

Questions
What does “a feed that ends” mean?
Tarang composes your feed into sets of twelve posts. At the end of a set you get a card and a choice rather than more posts, and you decide whether to keep going.
What happens if I stay a long time?
The app says so. It tells you how long you have been there and asks whether this is a good place to stop.
What are Waves and Talks?
Tarang's own words for appreciation. You Wave at a post instead of liking it, and Talk under it in threads, where the composer prompts you to say something kind.
What are the six feelings?
Stories last a day, and people respond to them with one of six named feelings: Love, Wonder, Mirth, Tender, Pride and Stillness. Only the story's author sees who felt what.
When do I see who responded?
Twice a day. Activity arrives at 6am and 6pm rather than as it happens, and there are no badges or red dots anywhere in the app.
Can I use Tarang yet?
Not yet. It is not released, and it is coming to Android.
